Jadwiga Zaleski – designer and maker of bespoke jewellery

Jadwiga Zaleski

“In 2013, I embarked on finding a way on how to crown that unique look women seek with bespoke statement pieces of jewellery. Jewellery made with large multi-colour semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, sea shell pearls as well as natural materials such as crystals, lava, felt and wood. So, if you are creating a new look for yourself, aiming to be bold and different in your choice of jewellery, or simply look for that one off necklace, which will match all your holiday wardrobe, please visit my website. There you will find a number of different bespoke designs to choose from. You may come across my work in some art galleries of East Anglia as well as at craft fairs, where you would experience my designs first hand.

Born in Poland, I am a qualified primary school teacher of arts and crafts. On arriving in the UK, I had to abandon teaching in favour of the English language followed by business and finance, which filled my working life. However, on retirement, I have revived my passion for arts and crafts by attending numerous courses, workshops and exhibitions. These allowed me to profile my reborn interest in arts and crafts. Whilst the training is ongoing, I have set up a small workshop at home, where I design and make my bespoke necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I seek inspiration from the constantly evolving world around me using only natural materials.”

Bracelets:  £10 – £25

“My name is Stephanie and I am 40 something.  Madebysteffieb was started to help us fundraise for fertility treatment for me with the help of my little Cutie Owls.  Over 1000 of my owls were adopted and we achieve our target but sadly the treatment failed.
Health reasons have prevented me from trying again, however, I decided to do this full time and carry on with my passion for handmade and to make people smile.
I am very focused on reducing waste and using sustainable materials for my crafts.  As much as possible, my items are made with eco friendly materials and all my packaging is recyclable/ compostable. As you can see I make a lot of different crafts, lots of gift ideas, they are all in my Etsy shop.”

Cutie Owls, these are £10 and I have lots of them, all unique and all up for “adoption”.  These come in a box with a small certificate for the new owner on how to look after them.

Greeting cards and their prices vary from £2 to £3.

Wish Bracelets, these are all £2.80, at fairs, they are 2 for £5.

Soap Savers, these can be used for small bits of soaps and also shampoo bars, they are £4 each and made from recycled cotton.  Their aim is to reduce waste and they are environmentally friendly.
I make big ones for full soap bars and I also make face scrubbies to remove make up or to wash your face with to reduce the use of wipes.

“Self care box” part of my collection of “Tiny Care Boxes” I usually only take a couple of them with me at fairs as they can be personalised online and sent directly to the person they are for.  These are £8.80 and I have a few to offer.  Self care, Birthday, Best friend, Mum, Loss, Thank you, Special teachers.  My collections is always growing.

Crochet storage baskets, small and big so prices vary.
